1. My husband and I were planning on planting fruit trees around our house because our daughter has been talking about it. Cannot wait for the summer so we can pick some tree. This is such a great post, and those pictures are so precious.

    • Hey. It is a wonderful lesson for kids of any age. Kids just love eating aomething they’ve grown themselves and the connection to nature they discover is wonderful.

I absolutely adore growing veggies and fruit with my little boy! I find that he will happily eat anything he grew himself in our garden 🙂

    • Its such a fun thing to do and the lesson stays with them forever. Or it did in my case. Look out for my FREE Gardening with kids Ebook coming soon with lots of tips and ideas to keep kids interested. I hope you both enjoy it.

  3. Such a great post! Growing things with kids is so important. It teaches them so many life skills! Sadly in our climate all we can grow, fruit wise, is berries. So I already have a blueberry bush but I would definitely love to get some raspberries. Just have to figure out how to keep them from taking over the garden.

My kids also love to grow stuff. Unfortunately I don’t have that lucky of a green thumb, most of ours don’t work out! All your fruits look amazing

    • Ha. There’s no such thing as the green thumb. You just need to start small. Try an indoor herb garden or maybe some strawberry plants in a pot.Good luck

    • Hi Sarah. Why not get kixs involved young- my Cc loved picking her own strawberries from a pot in the garden?. That way when yiu move you can juat take them with you. You can get patio apple trees etc that grow happily in pots too or try aomething indoors on a windowsill. We re grew lemon grass this year and it made the house smell amazing.
